Great feedback. I agree with the comments about being an analyst or having strong analytical skills. Post-COVID, and in the middle of this poor economic period, payroll pros are being called upon increasingly to identify the threat to our businesses that those factors play on our staff. And to help create strategic plans to offset them. Analytical/strategic skills are now more important for this group than just mathematical prowess.
Among others keys skills, I believe a payroll professional must be thorough / very detailed oriented, excellent knowledge of legislation with the willingness and ability to keep up with changing legislation, tech savvy and willingness to learn, problem solving skills and must be reliable.

I have completed my Payroll legislation and looking forward for payroll Fundamentals 1 from NPI,
But its been struggling for me to get a job into payroll administrator as everyone is asking for Experience and i worked at zone placements as payroll intern but my job was only limited to data entry and didn’t got any knowledge about payroll processing.
